The C70 general-purpose gondola is mainly used for general-purpose railway wagons for loading coal, ore, building materials, machinery and equipment, steel and timber. In 2005, based on the mature technology of the C80 series of coal gondola cars on the Daqin line, the C70 was successfully developed and started production. Type C70 gondola is a symbolic product of 70t-class railway freight cars. In addition to manual loading and unloading, the 70t-class general-purpose gondola can also be adapted to mechanized unloading operations such as wagon tippers, and can also meet the requirements of thawing warehouses.
The C70 universal gondola adopts an air brake device with a main brake pressure of 500kPa and 600kPa. It is mainly composed of a 120 (120-1) type control valve, an integral spinning sealed brake cylinder with a diameter of 254mm, and a ST2-250 type two-way brake. It is composed of a tile gap automatic adjuster, a KZW-A type empty and load automatic adjustment device, and an automatic brake device for truck derailment. It adopts braided brake hose assembly, Ao-Bay ductile iron bushing, high friction coefficient synthetic brake shoe, stainless steel brake fittings and piping system.
The hand brake device adopts the NSW type hand brake; the hand brake and the car body are connected by special pull rivets, and the hand brake device can meet the requirements of working under the catenary.
